I'll be honest with you: I'm not a researcher. I'm a toucher. I pick up a bead, I feel it, and I know.
But this collection was different from the start. Twelve signs. Four elements. A set of zodiac charms that showed up and demanded to be made into something. I couldn't just wing it — not if I wanted each bracelet to actually mean something to the person wearing it.
So I researched. And what I was looking for was simple: what makes each sign itself? Power color. Gemstone. Elemental stone. Three pillars. Every bead chosen with intention.
The air signs are first — Aquarius, Libra, Gemini — and here's how I built them.
The Framework
Every bracelet in this collection is built around three stone types, each with its own size and shape. They flow from bead to bead — not randomly, but with intention. Small to medium to large, each one carrying a different layer of meaning.
- Power color — the smallest bead, 4mm, a crystal bicone. It's the sparkle. The accent. The visual signature of the sign.
- Elemental stone — mid-size, 6x4mm howlite rondelle. Tied to the air element itself, shared across all three signs. Calm, white, grounding — the thread that connects them.
- Gemstone — the largest bead, 8-9mm. The traditional stone of the sign. The anchor.
Aquarius — The Water Bearer
Power color: Electric Blue
Aquarius runs on electricity — innovation, independence, vision. Electric blue was the only choice. I'm using a 4mm crystal bicone in electric blue: small, precise, and lit from within.
Gemstone: Amethyst
Amethyst is Aquarius's traditional stone — calming the mind that never stops moving, bringing clarity to the visionary. I chose a tumbled faceted pebble at 8-9mm. It's the largest element on the bracelet, and it earns that space.
Elemental stone: Howlite
White, calm, and grounding — a quiet counterpoint to the electric blue and the depth of the amethyst. The 6x4mm rondelle shape transitions smoothly between the other beads, anchoring the middle without competing.
Libra — The Scales
Power color: Pale Green (think peridot)
Libra is balance, beauty, and quiet elegance. Pale peridot green captures that perfectly — fresh without being loud, refined without being cold. A 4mm crystal bicone in that soft green will catch the light just enough.
Gemstone: Opal
Opal is Libra's stone through and through — iridescent, multi-faceted, beautiful from every angle. Just like the sign. At 8-9mm it becomes the centerpiece, shifting color depending on how the light hits it.
Elemental stone: Howlite
The same 6x4mm howlite rondelle that runs through all three air sign bracelets. On Libra, the white is especially fitting — clean, balanced, and a perfect neutral between the pale green and the opal's play of color.
Gemini — The Twins
Power color: Yellow
Gemini is bright, quick, and endlessly curious. Yellow is the only color that keeps up. A 4mm crystal bicone in yellow brings that spark of energy — sunny, sharp, impossible to ignore.
Gemstone: Pearl
Pearl grounds the Gemini bracelet in something timeless. Where the yellow bicone is all energy and movement, the pearl — 8-9mm, luminous — brings depth and a little mystery. The Twins contain multitudes. So does a pearl.
Elemental stone: Howlite
White howlite again, threading through all three air sign bracelets as the elemental constant. On Gemini, it sits between the yellow flash and the pearl glow — clean, bright, and perfectly at home.
When the full framework is complete, each bracelet will tell a story bead by bead — from the first crystal flash of color to the grounding weight of the gemstone at center. That's the goal. That's what the research was for.
