Sourcing Small: A Local Bead Haul Worth Sharing

When I go searching for beads, I like to know where they are coming from - preferably a "small" vendor - no AliExpress or Temu. Though I do get sucked in by Amazon when in a pinch. I am a VERY small business, and I like to support other small businesses. To know there is a face behind my purchase and not just a cash register.

Today's haul are compliments of Angela who sells on Facebook (Thanks Angela!!). She's about 30 mins from where I live. She buys in bulk for her own jewelry business and sells the excess in little pouches. But for me it's a win because they will be good for a couple projects each or so. I'd never met her before, but I can see going back when she refreshes her stash.

There are three that I'm particularly excited about. One is a bright blue faceted bead - I love blue! The second is a sea green - blue swirl bead - so beautiful! Do you have a favorite color you like to wear that just makes you sparkle?

The last shocked me. It's a pink marble with gold sheen - I'm not real big on pink but I try not to let my biases affect my bead selections. But this one is really pretty. I can see it pairing well with many colors.

I'm eager to work with all of them - maybe I should have purchased more! Follow along to see what these become! Subscribe to my newsletter, follow me on my socials or check back on the shop.

These are all glass beads - something that I lean into. Below are photos of today's haul.
