Green Jade and African Chevron Beads Bracelet (W)
This is the bead that started it all.
The focal is a carved green jade barrel — the one that sat on the bead mat and whispered until it finally said what it wanted. Jade in this particular shade of celadon green, carved with a subtle grid pattern that catches light in the grooves and holds shadow in the recesses. Jade has been considered a stone of harmony, protection, and good fortune across cultures for thousands of years. This piece carries that quietly.
What it asked for: African recycled chevron glass beads in red, green, white, and black — bold, graphic, handcrafted in the West African tradition of glass bead making. The chevron pattern is one of the oldest bead designs in the world, and these beads wear that history without apology. Black disc spacers give the composition room to breathe between each bead, and a silver toggle clasp closes the piece with clean, simple confidence.
The combination shouldn't work on paper — ancient jade meets African trade glass, cool celadon meets warm red and black — and yet it does, completely. That's what happens when you let the focal lead. The focal is carved green jade, the body is African recycled chevron glass, the spacers are black disc beads, and the closure is a silver toggle clasp. One of a kind — when it's gone, it's gone.
Wear it when you want something that has a story behind it — handcrafted, considered, and always.
