Inspector Qualifications
Jack Jack has been embedded in the Mamabug ReCreations studio since his appointment, which he arranged himself by sitting down and declining to leave. He holds no formal certifications but has logged thousands of hours of on-site observation, primarily from elevated surfaces, laps, and the center of whatever is currently being worked on.
His inspection methodology has been described as "thorough," "inconvenient," and "somehow always at the worst possible moment." He considers these assessments accurate and takes no corrective action.
Inspection Methodology
Primary technique: Sitting on it.
Secondary technique: Sitting near it and staring at it until something happens.
Tertiary technique: Walking across it slowly, making deliberate eye contact.
Emergency protocol: Knocking it off the table to assess structural integrity upon impact.
All techniques are applied at the inspector's discretion. No advance notice is given. No explanation is provided afterward.
Items Inspected This Quarter
Bead trays: Inspected thoroughly. Several compartments reorganized without authorization. Inspector found the large compartment adequate for sitting purposes. Smaller compartments rated insufficient.
Wire spools: Batted. Rolled. Assessed as mobile. Report pending.
Finished bracelets: Stepped on. Sniffed. Approved or ignored based on criteria the inspector has not disclosed.
Design sketches: Sat on for extended periods. One received a paw print notation in the margin, which the studio owner has chosen to interpret as a signature of approval.
The laptop: Inspected daily, exclusively when in active use. Inspector positions himself between the screen and the operator. Findings are not shared.
The studio owner: Inspected regularly via prolonged lap occupation. Rated acceptable. Inspection continues.
Quality Standards
Jack Jack's quality standards are proprietary and have not been made available for review. What is known:
- He can tell the difference between a bead tray that has been properly sorted and one that hasn't, because he sits in both with equal commitment
- He has never approved a bracelet that wasn't finished
- He has never disapproved of a nap
- His presence in the studio during production is considered non-negotiable by all parties, including him
Inspector's Conclusion
Every bracelet that leaves this studio has been in the presence of Jack Jack at some point during its creation. Whether he sat on it, walked past it, or simply observed it from across the room is between him and the bracelet.
His standards are high. His methods are his own. His naps are mandatory and should not be interrupted.
