Gold or Silver? I'll Tell You Mine

There's a question I get asked more than almost any other: Do you prefer gold or silver?

Honestly? Both. But let me tell you when and why.

I reach for gold when I want warmth — earthy stones, rich ambers, deep greens. Gold feels grounded. It pairs beautifully with wood beads, tiger's eye, and anything with a little age to it. It whispers heritage.

Silver is where I go when I want clean and cool. Labradorite. Moonstone. Anything with a blue flash or an icy shimmer. Silver lets the stone speak without competing.

But here's my real secret: I mix them. A gold focal bead on a silver wire. A silver clasp on a warm-toned strand. Rules in jewelry are suggestions, and I've never been great at following suggestions.

What about you — are you a gold person, a silver person, or a rule-breaker like me?
